Every person must understand that Jesus is the one and only door to the Heavenly Father. He is also the Beginning and the End. Our christian life begins with Him and at the end of it we will meet Jesus. The Bible says that every knee will bow before Him.
1. Body
After we have given our lives to God, it is necessary for us to grow and be transformed. We cannot grow and restore our life and past destructions on our own. This is why the Bible says that we must give our body to God in a living sacrifice. Jesus is our head and in order for Him to be wholesome in our life, He needs our body. Not our soul but the holy and clean body. This is easy to understand: imagine that I offered you a drink of fresh juice from an expensive cup. However, there is one negative and it is that the cup holds cockroaches. God is searching for a pure and holy vessel because it is with our body that we worship Him.
When we present ourselves to Christ, He comes and evaluates our life, and it is He who defines our ministry and our place. But we sometimes think the opposite - that if we pick a solid and visible place, a pastor or a teacher for example, then it means we will be useful to Christ. No. To be useful to Him means to allow Him to direct your life, how He sees fit. That means to be obedient and be there where Christ predestined us. God doesn’t need our self-centered ministry that stands out too much. God has a “body” and He always uses it. But those who build up their own ministry are against God. We have to be obedient in our body and create a harmony by praising Christ with it.
2. Word
God speaks to us through His Word. This is why it is important to study the Scriptures. How we pray and use God’s Word will determine how God will speak to us through the Scriptures. God opens Himself to us through the Word. How He speaks is how we much understand Him. I really like Smith Wigglesworth. However, when I read his preachings, I begin to think that I don’t know the Scriptures at all. Sometimes I fear to believe the Word because I start to think that if I believe it, then my life needs to change. It is easier to not know and as a result, not change.
The body is an instrument. In the same way the Word is also an instrument. The Word of God cannot be the goal, but by when we get filled with the Word, we end up needing the 3rd instrument.
3. Prayer
A person who dedicated his body to God and studying the Word will always want to pray and express all of his desires to God. He loves God. Once, in the middle of our radio recording, a thought came to me: are people who do not like to pray, open their heart and mind to God, saved? Most likely not. If it does not interest them to live with Jesus here, then He is not interesting to them at all. Prayer requires consistency. If we do not pray consistently, we become dirty and vain.
Prayer as an instrument also cannot be wholesome. We don’t pray just for the sake of prayer... Prayer has to give us an answer from heaven. How do we know if a person is receiving an answer? Emotions are not an answer. The atmosphere is not an answer. Then what is the answer? Let us move on to the next point:
4. Holy Spirit
If we pray and the Holy Spirit is not coming, then we are not praying. Jesus always depended upon the Holy Spirit. When He was leaving to be with the Father, He gave the disciples instructions to do nothing until the Holy Spirit came. In prayer wait for the Holy Spirit. That is where all power, gifts, and authority is held. Without the Holy Spirit there will never be any changes. Very often we think that everything depends on the amount of time we spend in prayer. Yes, there needs to be a minimum in your prayer life but the Holy Spirit the one who convicts, guides, directs our life, and it is absolutely necessary for us to be attentive to His voice.
5. Serving People
Being filled with the Holy Spirit we serve people in spirit, pray for healing, and the deliverance of people. We end up doing everything in Holy Spirit.
6. Worship
Once we serve people we, once again, return to worship Jesus. The Bible tells us about how Jesus healed 10 lepers and only one returned to bow down before Jesus and thank the Miracle Maker. Then Christ asked him: “Where are the other 9? Why did they not come to bow down?”
All 6 of these steps bring us to the Father again. Everything is for the glory of God. However, if we rip out one of these moments and concentrate on just that one, then we are building our ministry on a false foundation and become ineffective in ministry. There is nothing bad in any of these steps; however, it is necessary to analyze prayer and ask yourself one question: Is Jesus the head in my life? Someone may say I get filled with the Holy Spirit. That is great! Then ask yourself: When was the last time I served someone? Since the Holy Spirit was given for the sake of ministry and serving others.
It is also very important to remember that everything goes in this important order. Notice that when we don’t live a holy life (body) nothing interests us. Not the Holy Spirit, not worship, not prayer, nor the Word. This is why many judge different styles of worship and the speaking in tongues. It is simple: these people did not become Christ’s servants; they give their body to Christ and then they take it away. This process is constant in their lives.
If we balance out the 6 steps and follow them, our life becomes a life of the Spirit. Because Christ begins to rule in us. Dear ones, if you pray, sing, serve, then always remember to ask yourself: is this useful to Christ? Because if it is not, it will never bring fruit. Maybe you don't know if it is worth it doing all this but let me tell you this: the moment you come face to face before Christ you will fall and bow down. Your position will change right away. So, why wait? Begin to live by the Spirit!
