Admin,
When my husband proposed to me, I don’t remember if he asked if I would marry him. But he did ask me one very important question, “Do you agree to build a castle with me for the rest of your life?” He always admired the architecture, art, and castles in particular. But the castle he referred to was not the kind built by hands. Even though I am sure he would love to live in that kind as well, he referred to something way more serious.
This particular castle is called family, a strong tower and a holy temple. Family requires hard work and it is a very difficult project. It has to be a place of rest, peace and comfort, a place of refuge and safety.
A great responsibility was placed upon my shoulders to build this temple and a castle. Bible says that a wise woman builds her house. When I said my “I do,” I agreed to roll-up my sleeves and labor so that our castle would be built. I have accepted a job proposal for my entire life. And a well build castle stands for centuries after the life of its founder. The first owner will be long gone but people will still admire the work. Same way in marriage, in order to build a strong family, we must work hard, invest a lot of time, sacrifice and build a strong marriage, one that will be worthy of admiration and an excellent example for generations to come. It must be a castle where the master and the owner is God Himself, and He is not limited by time.
