A life of a teenager is simple and carefree. From age 13 to 19, are the easiest and happiest years of a person’s life: no problems, no doubts, the future is crystal clear. All girls are confident that they are the most beautiful creations, without a single blemish. More so, all her friends take notice of that and sing praises to her. The guys, they know how strong and awesome they are, real men, everyone acknowledges that and gives due respect.
It often happens, that at this age, the parents consider their children mature enough to understand and accept the fact that they want to get a divorce. All the teenagers, easily and carelessly go through this process, smiling and rejoicing at the fact that their parents will finally be happy. The teens, unlike any others, know that they are unconditionally loved, needed, and want to live a long and wholesome life. Isn’t that right?
Nonsense! Show this paragraph to any teenager, and he will laugh right to your face. It is the most challenging to survive this age, it is a proven fact. Life stops from one pimple showing up on the forehead. It’s as if the world comes crashing down, family issues, and misunderstandings, frequent feelings of being unwanted and not needed. At just the “right moment” the world very conveniently offers a party where a teen would feel accepted, where everyone is free to be themselves. A teen is lured to take a smoke, a drink, a pill, just to be cool…because it is now prestigious to break the law, and deserves uttermost respect. Later, when all this turns up to be a big lie, the same voice comes and deceives, “See, everything in this world is a lie. Nobody needs you. Why are you even on this Earth?”
Of course, this does not categorize everyone, we cannot know the thoughts and feelings of every teenager, or define their destiny. However, there is a growing teen ministry at Melchizedek Church! With quite some experience, many salvaged destinies, and hundreds of testimonies. And we can confidently declare – there is a way out! Personally for you. Regardless of the arguments you may present, or the opposition we might face, the truth remains. There is only one way out – an Encounter with a living God. I can say to any guy – to Him, you are a real man, mature and strong, and He is proud of you. To a girl, who is not sure in her fathers love, I want to say – He is your Daddy. He is always near, and He understands how you feel and knows what you dream about. And He dreams about you! He dreams so you would come to Him, give Him all your problems, and exchange it for happiness for your life. For a lifetime...
Encounter with the Living God will start on Friday and Saturday, October 19th – 20th at Melchizedek Church.
